Yes we did in school. We captured pictures that would go along well with our story. We did all of them inside of the school. 

Photography

I was in photography last year and learned a lot about photography. But not the kind on my phone. More the old kind of photography. I do take a lot of photos. i take them many ways. I like to take little cute pictures and also professional good pictures. I model so i get some of the professional side to it also. Thats always fun. I do edit my photos before they go onto social media sometimes. It just depends if it would look good with an edit or not. I do like photos and photography. I think its interesting and also fun. 

Technology Today

I love the way technology is today. We are in such an advanced world its great. I love my phone and my computer and also all the technology in my car. The navigation and the aux cord and how i can download my music onto my car. There isn't much that i don't like about technology other then some people hide behind technology and never will communicate face to face. My phone impacts me positively in life. I love how i can just shoot a text to someone and then get such a fast response. Technology is a strong thing and once something is out there it doesn't ever go away. That is one thing that really goes along with technology that i don't really like. I don't do anything that i wouldn't want others to see but there are a lot of people in the world that do things on the internet that shouldn't be on the internet. And once its there its there forever. Overall technology is a fantastic thing. 

Partner Presentation

This project was alright. I think being able to talk to them in person is more efficient and you would get it done faster but i don't think that it was much harder. We used the chat on the google slides to communication and it wasn't very hard. I would not like to have to work like that all the time because its not as fast moving and efficient and i like being face to face with others. I did learn from this experience though and i saw what it would be like to not be able to talk to your partner on the project.

Thanksgiving Break

My thanksgiving break was good! I spent time with family on Thanksgiving. We went to my uncles house at 12 and ate turkey dinner. Then we went home and got everything together and went to the plaza and spent the night with all the family at the Intercontinental. We watched the lights from the room then i went to dinner with my boyfriend and his family. I did not travel to another state during this holiday. I did participate in Black Friday and we went to Lulu Lemon. It was a lot of fun but thats the only place we went because my family doesn't like fighting the crowd but Lulu was having good sales so we had to go. I did also attend the state game this weekend. It was a very fun but cold time. Very sad that we didn't get to win but our team had a fantastic season and i am so very proud of them and all the hard work they put into this whole season. Overall my 5 day weekend was fun and also much needed. I am writing this from home today because i am not feeling to good today. But still wanted to get my post in. I will be back tomorrow. :)

I liked building this website. It was easy to use and gave me no problems. I enjoyed it a lot. I would defiantly use this website to make another website in the future. I liked how easy it was to use and didn't have any glitches. One thing that bothered me was that you can change the main background but not the little one where the writing goes. Mine is black and i couldn't change it and i didn't like that but other then that it was great. I would defiantly recommend this for anyone that asked where to make a website.

I use apps a lot. They have such a wide range of apps its crazy. From the weather app to the old trivia crack. I don't want to be dramatic I could live without apps but its just a more convenient way to access things in a timely manner. Most app can be accessed through the internet there just a cool and easy shortcut. My life would not be much different maybe just a little less convenient :)

I enjoyed learning about my global issue. I picked something that I was going to like because if I didn't then I would not have enjoyed researching it and doing all of this on it. If I did this again i would do the same topic because I think that there is a lot of abuse amongst people from drugs and alcohol. The tool that I liked the most was just google power point because I am very familiar with it and its easy and it looks good to my eyes. it doesn't glitch and its very organized and has so many options. That is what I like because if not my anxiety would have sunk in and I would have been unorganized and that wouldn't have been good. There are many ways that you could have taught web 2.0 tools. You could have done it by researching anything approved by you that interests us. Or maybe not use all of the tools in one project break it up and do different activity's that sum up to using all those tools. Overall I did not think this was a terrible assignment but I would not want to start it all over and do it again.

What makes a presentation memorable?

As sad as it sounds drug and alcohol abuse is more common than you think. It will open some eyes but also show people not to turn to substance and or abuse those things. Mine has a lot of statistics and it shows the exact numbers. I am going to make this stand out as much as I can by being passive about it and really explaining how it can really effect you negatively. A lot makes a presentation memorable. Use eye contact, be passive about your topic and also have good information. 

10 Things that would make a good presentation

Royals World Series

Game 5 was honestly crazy. I fell asleep from the 5th inning until the beginning of the 9th. When they scored to tie the game it was crazy good luck. I got up and went to the TV downstairs that everyone was at and cheered with. Once it finally got to the 14th inning they scored 5 more runs and I knew that we would be winning the world series that night. Once he threw that final pitch I freaked out in excitement. All I wanted was to be there with all the players. That was defiantly one of the most exciting things I have ever seen on TV. I don't really ever watch TV but when the royals are on you know that I am either there watching them or watching it on TV. Congratulations to the Kansas City Royals on the big win.

Globel Issue so far....

I have found a lot of interesting things about my global issue. I didn't know that the statistics of alcohol and drug abuse was so high. Also there are a lot of ways to get help. If you need it then you can easily access it. I have found some sources that will help me get farther with my project and help me further my learning of drug and alcohol abuse.

Infographics are a very cool way of getting information across in a pretty and fun way. The purpose of an infographic is to convey infromation but in a fun and exciting way. Also shows the more important information in the middle and in bigger text. There are many ways that the information can be displayed. They can be in a flow chart, timeline, versus, data and number crunch, photo and research infographics. You could use an infographic in class instead of a reseach paper about something because it makes you think and get the same information just in a more colorful, pretty and fun way. This can enlighten an audience a lot more then someone standing up and reading there paper to the class they will be able to look at it and see the most important information surrounded by colors and it will help them remember the material more.

do less with more focus

To me this means that you should have less of a work load and just put more focus on the task at hand. It would make you have a much better final product every time if you didn't have the stress of having a lot on your plate. You can put more focus on that one thing and put your all into it. You could apply this in your school life in classes for sure. I think that would work better for me to have less work and focus more on one thing. Because I have good focus but my anxiety sinks in when I have so much on my plate to cover and it stresses me out.

I think that this cartoon is a stereotype because America is the most advanced of all of the countries and so they think that we are all consumed in that and other things and not our studies. Which isn't true because we have a lot of really smart people in the USA. We just worry about a lot more then what meet the eye. Yes other countries are really smart but we also are and i don't like how this cartoon displays our country.

10 years from now i will be...

10 years from now I will be 28 years old. I hope to be married and have a kid. I will be graduated from University of Kansas and hopefully have a major in teaching or nursing. I want to live either here or in California. I hope to have a stable job and also have some fun with my husband. Maybe travel some and also have some great memories together. When I am 28 I hope to say that I have traveled outside of the country multiple times and not just to Mexico. Another thing I would love to do is not only have a stable job but have one that is very interesting and makes me a lot of money! But no one truly knows where I will be in 10 years its only a journey to come.

Homecoming Weekend

I am excited for this weekend. I am going to homecoming with my boyfriend Reid. Were going to dinner a Newport Grill. Then going to the dance then going to the after part. My dress is black and has an open back. I'm most excited for the pictures, dinner and the after party! Its going to be a fun weekend.

Global Issues

I found 5 possible topics yesterday that were very common and large Global issues. I think I really like the topic "Causes of Poverty". I chose this topic because its such a huge issue and no one deserves to be hungry or homeless or not have enough money to take care of there family properly. It has not effected me in my life but I care about that kind of stuff a lot and think how it would make you feel if you didn't have enough food or shelter or money to take care of you and your family. I am very passionate about this topic because as i said i care about this issue and wouldn't want anyone to be in poverty.

        There are may perspectives on this issue. I wouldn't want anyone to be in poverty but also no one deserves to be in poverty. Most all people are for this issue and want people not to be in poverty and have his problem. It is pretty messed up if people want others in poverty. Not a lot of people disagree on this issue. You can have controversy but not some that's very logical. There are many reasons for that. No human deserves that kind of life. One person could sit there and say that isn't our problem that they dot have money to take care of there families. Others like me would say that it is never right to have anyone in poverty because of many reasons. government has enough money they should help with poverty more.

Social bookmarking is something a lot of people do and don't even realize. When you use twitter or Instagram or anything that you can like or tag can involve social bookmarking. Its just bookmarking something that is on the computer so your friends can also see it. I do have a different understanding of it now because its what it sounds like but theirs more to it. I didn't realize that it was that easy for someone to just simply like something or tag i and it becomes a "social bookmark". I thought there was more to it. And in some cases there is but we all do it everyday and don't even realize it most likely. I think that it is a very helpful tool that helps us see what each other like and a way fro us to see how hey express themselves. I learned about a few new websites that i didn't know about that were called Digg, Reddit, and Propeller. They are news related websites like politics, sports, and technology. A fun fact about this article is that twitter is a huge social bookmarking site.

TED Talk

I agree with this ted talk. Technology and our phones are taking over our lives and making us feel heard by something that isn't real or has feelings or anything like that. You have to be more verbally connected to be able to communicate effectively. I think that i will be changing how much on im my phone and what i say through text and what i verbally communicate with people from now on. It is effecting everyone i think. Because i think most everyone is connected to the internet and have phones that are controlling our lives.

3 DAY WEEKEND

My 3 day weekend was really fun. I hung out with friends and went to a royals game. It was really hot though so we left early and went to my house and hung out there and i had people over! i got to sleep in and just chill it was a good weekend.

PSA in my own words

A PSA in my eyes is something that tells a group of people information about something important. Its a message to the public interest produced by the media without charge. With the goal of raising awareness and changing pubic attitudes and behavior towards a social or political issue. Also they can be used for in class ways to make a project or to portray information.

I would complain most about is how much kids are on there phones and how much drama the have. They need to not be so connected to social media that's causing drama all around.

Prezi Reflection

I feel like sing prezi and using PowerPoint are very similar. They do the exact same thing but one you can access from online. Its really easy to be able to access prezi from anywhere because you don't have to save it from just one computer. Both of these are effective ways to create a message its more your preference. I like using these for different reasons. I will use both for different reasons. Prezis more fun and PowerPoint mores professional. It all depends on what my next presentation is:)

Well at this point in our lives most kids are not mature enough to have the drive to want to do something that productive with their lives. Kids are more into just hanging out after school and not wanted to do their homework and just going to do what they wasn't to do which is what they would consider fun. Kids in this day and age want to live the dream that they would see on the TV. Kids think things that arnt realistic. They want to have a perfect life with everything that they want and not have to do any hard work for it. When that isn't reality. Kids need to learn that things don't just come from not doing anything to earn it. Some parents are just doing that for their kids now so they learn to think that's how it always will be when that isn't the case in the real world once they move out. They will be in for a rude awakening. Kids need to be taught that things need to be worked for and earned for not just given to them.
